These are 21st Century classrooms! Here teachers are the facilitators of students learning and creators of productive classroom environment which nurture development of multiple skills and competencies. The teachers create a learning ambience that allows each child to grow intellectually with conceptual understanding and higher order thinking skills.

Interactive Smart Boards in Classes

The presiding members in the Goenkan Classroom are the Interactive white boards used in GDGPS as a replacement for traditional white boards or flip charts. They provide ways to show students everything which can be presented on a computer’s desktop (education software, web sites and others) in an actual working setting. In addition interactive whiteboards allow teachers to record their instructions and post the material for review by students at a later time. This is a very effective instructional strategy for students who are absent from school, for students struggling while learning, and for review work during examinations.

• Creative video files to teach a software application, a lesson, or as a review to be posted to the server on the web.
• Use the built-in maps to teach continents, oceans, countries, or states and capitals.
• Showcase presentations created by students or teacher.
• Have students create e-folios including samples of their work and narration. Digital storytelling.
• Take notes directly into Power Point presentations.
• Reinforce skills using on-line interactive web sites.
• Creating a project calendar.
• Illustrate and write a book
• Use the record feature to narrate the text.
• Use the Inter write software to create lessons in advance at home or at school. Then save them for future use or share with other teachers.
• Diagramming activities.

Library

The superbly well stocked library houses a vast collection of books, digital sources, resources and services on a wide range of topics. The endeavour is on inculcating reading habits in children, giving a free rein to their imagination and minds in comfortable and conducive ambience. The reference section supports the curriculum and beyond. The advanced digital Library and an e-library section is the response to need of the times, expanding the horizons of all learning beyond limits.There is a Hi-Tech e-Library where students have access to online encyclopedias and reference materials in addition to a wide gamut of books and magazines.

Play Fields

Play fields are the heart & soul of an institution or an establishment since they are the bulwarks of a healthy society. The facilities available are briefly described:-

Basket Ball Court

Ensconced in the backyard of the school premises, covered from three sides giving it perfect location as good as being indoor, the court has international dimensions.

Football Field



We have a verdant football field lush with grass and well maintained since besides football it is extended to accommodate other activities also, like Cricket, in the vastness of its arena.

Cricket Ground

Cricket Ground forms a part of larger complex of football & Athletics arena, where the activity is smoothly conducted. The ground is effectively utilized for matches as well as net practice, after the school hours.

Volleyball

The school boasts of standard size volleyball court. The court is regularly marked and activity conducted evenly.

Swimming

For the conduct of swimming activity as well as the practices for preparation of teams, to participate in various competitions, we have swimming pool, the sanitary & hygienic conditions of which are especially taken care.

Skating Ground



We have very well trained and state level recognized players as our Coaches who pay careful attention to not only teaching the art of skating but also in identifying the immense talent in the kids to help them shine in this niche sport which brings lots of benefits to the overall development of the kid.

As a matter of fact our school has rich networks of courts, grounds & playfields for Archery, Taekwondo, Yoga and Athletics Track etc also.

Transport

Safety and Security of a child is of prime importance to us here at G. D. Goenka. Trained Guards are posted at all vantage points and in buses to safeguard children. The School has a large fleet of air conditioned buses. Each bus is designed for safety and comfort of children. The buses carry a highly trained driver, conductor and a guard supported by radio paging, mobile phones and global positioning. Additionally a nanny accompanies the children on all bus routes. The school operates different bus routes. The details of bus routes, pick-up and drop-off points, time schedules and bus charges will be provided by the School at the time of admission of students.

Medical Room

The medical care for children is of foremost concern in terms of care of child and lifesaving. The medical facilities are unparalleled in school health care. There is a spacious, airy and well equipped medical room.
